My name is Sharonda Johnson and I am the new high school
principal of Kennard Junior High and High School. I have been in education for 12 years, with 4
years in administration. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin
University and a Masters from Sam Houston State University.
I am married to my
high school sweetheart, Tim, who is a linesman for Houston County Electric Coop
in Crockett, Texas. We have two beautiful daughters Tamara 16, Tiara 14, and a
bouncing 10- month old son, TY.
In the fall of 2009, I plan to return to the University of Texas
to work on my Doctorate and to complete my Superintendent‘s Certification.
A Native of East Texas, I was reared in Latexo, Texas by my
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Faustine Taylor. I am proud and attribute much of my success
from my family who are hardworking people who believe in the value of education..
I am excited about coming to Kennard High School. Our campus has set many goals and high expectation for our students this year. In KHS, we are the BEST (Building Everybody and Succeeding Together!
