Kennards starting line up was Caitlin Allision, Rachel Steel, Ariel Mumphrey, Kayla Shankle
Brittani Nagy and Kyesha Johnson. Applesprings starting line up consisted of #22 Jada Boykin,
#3 Katie Karbe, #00 Maigan Parker, #2 Abbe Anne Harris, # 13 Rusti Bentley, and # 14 Shelby Kieth. Kennard Lady Tigers Defeated Apple Springs.
The first match was preaty close but Kennard rose to victory with only a 5 point lead.
In the second round Applespring did not put up a good enought fight and they got defeated
25 to 13. The last round Kennard won again in a 25 to 13 victory.
Kennard's Varsity team lost the game against Grapeland on Friday. Kennard did not play a very good first match and lost 15-25. The second match was very close and Kennard was playing a very good but once again lost the second match to Grapeland 24-26. The third and final match Kennard fought to get a victory but once again lost 17-25. Kennard Junior Varsity alos lost their game. The first match was 11-25. Then the second match rachael Gresham had some killer hits and they won the match 25-20. The last match kennard fought and fought but their efforts were just not enoght and they lost the final match 20-25.
Kennard Lady Tigers had victory after a heated four game match with Lovelady Lions.
Kennard had their regular varsity line up. Lovelady had a good starting line up that consisted
of the following players- #3 P. Mendez, #5 N. Furr, #9 D. Hester, #10 K. Cadenhead, #12 T. Stewart
and #13 B.Stapp. The first match the score was 25-13 with Kennard on top. The second match was 23-25 with Lovelady
on the top end. The third match was 25-23 Kennard. The final match was 25-19 making the winners of the game Kennard
Lady Tigers. Many of the fans quoted that" This has been the best game Lovelady has played in a while." We would like
to send congratulations out to our Lady Tigers for their victory.
Kennard and Grovtons game on Tueday was very heated it was the game to decide who was going to get third place in district. Kennard lady Tigers won the first battle with a 16 lead leaving that match at 25-14. The second match was also a close match but Kennard lost 21-25. In the third match there was a yellow card pulled on Grovton player # 23 Chelsea. Kennard lost the game 22-25. The very last match was even closer than the rest Kennard was down 17-24 and then Kyesha Johnson #7 from Kennard came up to serve and she was on fire. Kyesha served a total of 6 serves making the score 23-24 then on Kyesha's 7th serve it was short. Kennard lost the game and moved back to forth in district and Groveton took the Third place slot.
Kennard won in a three game match against Chester. Kennard won the first two rounds 25 to 11. Then in the final match Chester almost came back and won the match but Kennard won 25-21. Kennard had a very good game and are hoping to have another great game on Friday October 19,2007 against Apple Springs.
