Board of Trustees Elections

The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted annually in May. Following the annual election, the board elects a president, vice president, and secretary to serve for a one-year term.

Application Process:

Candidate application packets will be available at the Kennard ISD Administration building located at 304 State Hwy 7 W, Kennard, Texas beginning Wednesday, January 18, 2023. The application is also available for downloading from the Secretary of State’s website. Click here

The candidate filing period to file an application for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 18, 2023, to Friday, February 17, 2023.
Filing hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2022, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Applications and completed forms must be filed at the Kennard ISD Administration building located at 304 State Hwy 7 W, Kennard, Texas.

Election Day: May 6, 2023 

Early Voting begins Monday, April 24, 2023.

On Election Day, voters must vote in the precinct where they are registered to vote.

Applications for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) and Federal Postcard Applications (FPCA), must be received no later than the close of business on April 26, 2022.
