Board of Trustees Elections

The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted annually in May. Following the annual election, the board elects a president, vice president, and secretary to serve for a one-year term.

Application Process:

Candidate application packets will be available at the Kennard ISD Administration building located at 304 State Hwy 7 W, Kennard, Texas beginning Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The application is also available for downloading from the Secretary of State’s website. Click here

The candidate filing period to file an application for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to Friday, February 21, 2025.
Filing hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Applications and completed forms must be filed at the Kennard ISD Administration building located at 304 State Hwy 7 W, Kennard, Texas.

Early Voting Begins : April 22, 2025.

Applications for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) and Federal Postcard Applications (FPCA) : April 22, 2025.

Note: If ABBM is faxed or emailed or if an FPCA is faxed; the original application must be received within 4 business days.

Early Voting Ends : April 29, 2025.

Election Day : May 3, 2025

On Election Day, voters must vote in the precinct where they are registered to vote.
