The Kennard ISD Food Drive is up and going!! Student Council is asking all students at Kennard ISD to collect non-perishable food items for the food drive through out the next two weeks (Nov 12 - 22). All donations are welcomed!

We love our Veterans! On Friday, November 8, 2024 our High School Student Council held our Annual Veterans Day Program. The Student Council would like to thank all that helped in making the event a success. Thank you to Wright family and Emily Carden for their musical performances and talents. Thank you to Douglas Cook for bringing the SFASU ROTC Color Guard. Thank you to our Kennard PTO for providing breakfast for our veterans and special guest. As always, thank you to all of our veterans!

Happy National STEM Day! On this day we celebrate and promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and careers. STEM skills are important because they help our students solve complex problems and are in high demand. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in STEM occupations will grow at twice the rate of overall employment through 2031.

Yesterday, November 6, 2024 our 3rd grade class took a field trip to the Porth Ag Arena to participate in the Houston County Ag Day. Thank you to all that helped put the day together for our students!
Tomorrow, November 8, 2024 Kennard High School Student Council is inviting all local Veterans to attend and participate in our Veterans Day Program. The program will be held at 9:00 AM in the KISD gym. Following the program will be a breakfast reception for our Veterans and honored guest. If anyone in your family is a Veteran and will be in attendance during our program, please RSVP by Tuesday, November 5, 2024 by filling out this Google Form, returning the form sent out by the school or calling the high school office (936) 655-2121.

TODAY, November 7, 2024 : Entry night for Houston County Fair and Major Shows will be held at the Kennard Ag Building at 6 PM. All students planning on showing at the County Fair and any Majors must attend. A parent must be present to sign entry forms and should bring the student’s Social Security Number. Payment for entries are required at this time.
