On Tuesday, May 12, Mr. Cord Shiflet of the Cord Shiflet Group in Austin, Texas, donated $2,000 worth of Braille books and specialized VI equipment!
Our student, Ryeland Campbell, is an absolute voracious reader. In fact, he had already read every single book our KISD library had to offer! When he heard that the library received a fresh delivery of new titles just for him, his excitement was unmatched.
The highlight? Ryeland loves to cook, and when he discovered the donation included braille cookbooks, he was truly over the moon! 🍳📖
