Kennard ISD would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Todd Stone of Sandstone Kennels for visiting our Ag students on Friday, April 17th and sharing his knowledge about dog handling.
Students had the opportunity to meet Ruby, Hank, Otto, and Kia and learned about German Wirehaired Pointers and German Shorthaired Pointers—their differences, unique traits, usefulness in the field, and even their genetics. It was a hands-on and informative experience that our students truly enjoyed!

Students in 6th–8th grade will be heading to Pineywoods Encampment on Thursday, May 7, 2026 for a full day of outdoor fun!
🕗 Leaving: 8:45 AM
🏫 Returning: Before school dismissal
Activities will include:
🏊 Swimming
🏐 Beach Volleyball
⚽ Gaga Ball
🥎 Kickball
💲 Optional: Students may bring $10 if they would like to participate in the zipline.
👕 Swim Guidelines:
2-piece swimsuits are not allowed
All students who swim must wear a non-white T-shirt over their swimsuit
