The 2024 yearbook has arrived! Bring your $50 (cash or check) to Mrs. Bobbitt in the front office, OR bring your receipt if you prepaid.
We would love to take the opportunity to highlight one of our students. Our very own, Cherish Tanner, was asked to liven up one of our elementary halls with her artistic ability. Luckily, for our district, she happily agreed. She is truly one of a kind! Cherish spent three days on this painting to ensure its perfection. It turned out even more amazing than we possibly could have imagined. Please help us thank Cherish Tanner for giving up her remaining days of summer to do this for our district. We are beyond proud of her.
The PTO will be selling spirit shirts and taking orders for caps at meet the teacher! Be sure to look for their table to get/order purple gear for you and your family!

To address the concerns voiced by our community members~
Kennard ISD has always checked employee background information. Now, KISD has access to assess outside employees who work for other organizations as well. KISD will also be alerted to new or pending factors on background reports. Safety is of the utmost importance.
Please be assured that your student’s safety is our priority. If you should have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
Safety First- Thank you for the calls and concerns directed toward KISD campus employees during today’s incident.
Community Announcement- Officials with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Crockett Police Department arrived on KISD campus in attempt to apprehend an outside sources staff member while on duty. All KISD staff and faculty were quickly secured on campus lockdown while officers searched for the individual.
Updates will be posted as relevant information becomes available.
